YOKOHAMA BAYSTARS
It’s just a baseball game, right? WRONG! Baseball games in Japan are on a whole different level. The dancing, clapping, singing and all around energy are unbelievable. This was our second time attending a baseball game here in Yokohama, but the first time that we were able to snag home team seats. We went as a group with our friends and we had a BLAST. It didn’t rain this time, the crowd around us was turned up, and the Baystars actually won the game! One cool aspect that I noticed this around was that they have one song that they sing every time a player goes up to bat. But they change the lyrics to sing that specific players name! Like how cool is that? You’re up to bat and you hear thousands of fans singing your name with harmony! We were able to participate in the “balloon release” and thoroughly enjoyed the fireworks at the end of the game. We all went to Yokohama Chinatown for dinner that night. I had some of the best shrimp fried rice that I’ve ever tasted since I’ve been in Japan! Bomb.com.
