A Dream Come True | 18 years ago I became a Die Hard Kobe Bryant fan. It has always been a dream & the #1 item on my Bucket list to see him play at home in the Staples Center while wearing my #8 jersey! That dream came true. Thanks to my mom, we flew from Japan to Los Angeles for 2 days just to watch Kobe play in his last game against LeBron James. We also saw Cam Newton, John Legend, Chrissy Tiegen, Jack Nicholson and Kehlani. My hands were shaking, eyes watered, and I was completely hoarse at the end of the night. Thanks to my husband we stayed at the Luxe City Center right across the street from the Staples Center, Grammy Museum, and ESPN. I saw an excellent Michael Jackson exhibit as well. And for those who think I'm crazy for flying to America "just to see a basketball game”. I'll just say DREAM BIG and LIVE A LITTLE.

Dear Kobe,

I remember 18 years ago when I watched you play for the first time & deemed you as my favorite player. To this day you still are. You're the reason I have a Bucket list & I'm thankful that I was able to accomplish #1. I’ve been in countless heated arguments defending your greatness but what's understood doesn't need to be explained. I never understood how one person could be so fierce, fearless, great, competitive, and legendary. But it's that "Mamba Mentality" - we don't quit, we don't cower, we don't run. We endure and conquer! So as I chase my dreams & perfect my skill. I remind myself daily to have that mamba mentality & to be as driven, fierce & confident as you. It's more than JUST basketball. Heroes come and go but LEGENDS are forever. THANK YOU.
